Tracker is an open source physics software that can do plenty of cool things like map velocity of moving

Importing Surface Data into COMSOL to Use for a Geometry

This tutorial explains how to import an x, y, z file into COMSOL to use as part of your model's geometry. This is great if you have a .csv file of latitude, longitude and elevation from some part of a system and you want to create a model of this system. What kind of system, you ask? How about modeling a glacier or river? Here, we create a glacier with bed and surface data.
